Stockholm – Swedish furniture brand Offecct has launched the Offecct Lab, a workshop space where it can develop new products.
Some of the pieces created in the space have been on show at the Stockholm Furniture Fair this week, including the Cape chair by Nendo and the Airberg seat by Jean-Marie Massaud.
The Cape chair gives the impression of a cape being thrown over a frame, and is designed to be functional and simple. The Airberg is a soft furnishing seat stuffed with a flexible padding material.
The use of the laboratory to create new ideas is increasing across a range of sectors, including hotels, retail and coffee chains. For more, read our Lab Talk microtrend.
