Madrid – Interior design studio Stone Designs has created a new interior for the De Los Austrias pharmacy featuring colourful geometric wire frames that change colour as shoppers move through the store.
Designed to turn the experience of buying medicine into a social event, items are arranged by colour and displayed on complementary coloured frames, creating a playfully curated interior.
The wire frames, in graduated colours from deep reds to candy pinks and clinical blues, rest on wooden platforms while others are mounted on the wall. Materials such as marble and a tiled floor add sophistication to the playful surroundings.
Presenting products by colour makes it easy for shoppers to find items quickly, while communicating a broad and easily understood language.
We previously reported on the benefits of colour-coded interiors in our Packaged Interiors microtrend.
