In the dog house: Architects go barking mad

08 : 11 : 2012 Design : Open Brands : Animals

JapanMuji creative director Kenya Hara is to launch a website offering downloadable architectural structures for dogs.

Architecture for Dogs will feature a series of downloadable designs from leading architects, including MVRDV and Kengo Kuma. Each of the pieces is designed for a specific breed of dog, and takes into account its unique size and characteristics.

Users will be encouraged to customise the designs, and re-upload the new versions for others to share.

As LS:N Global explored in our Open Brands microtrend, brands are increasingly creating platforms that enable consumers to adapt and improve their products.
