Seattle – A new prototype device under development at Jennifer Darmour’s wearable technology design studio Electricfoxy moves wearable fitness apps from the wrist onto the finger.
The Pulse Ring monitors your pulse and your heart rate. An LED light on the band changes colour to show whether you are below, within, or above your target heart rate. When used with an iPhone app it provides information about your fitness levels.
Emerging brand Electricfoxy aims to redesign wearable technology to make it discreet and stylish, integrating the interface with the core technology to streamline the product. Darmour is also a designer at product design studio Artefact and has created interfaces for Microsoft Xbox, Google and Panasonic.
