Score sheets: Beck album is made for sharing
US – Experimental musician Beck Hansen is to release his latest album as sheet music rather than recorded audio tracks.
Song Reader, published by McSweeney’s, will be released in December as 20 individual pieces of sheet music. Each will include illustrations by Marcel Dzama and will be bound in a hard-cover carrying case.

The album is a collaborative experiment in which consumers’ experience of the music will depend on the way it is produced and shared by friends and through social media.
