Seoul – Design studio Bang By Min has applied a shop-in-shop concept to its new Miega hair salon in Seoul.
Drawing inspiration from the layout and design of rural villages, the designers placed a series of modular units in a 124-square metre space. Each unit is shaped like a small house and contains equipment for cutting, washing and styling hair.
When customers are not having their hair done, they can relax and find solace in the indoor garden areas.
Miega can also be used as a convivial space for events or exhibitions. For more examples of brands creating social experiences offline, Read our Conviviality Culture macrotrend.
