California – The new Basecamp hotel in Lake Tahoe, California, caters for travellers with a love of the great outdoors.
Each of the boutique hotel’s 50 rooms comes fitted with racks for storing and drying climbing gear, and complimentary energy bars to help fuel guests as they explore the surrounding area.
Suites such as the Greater Indoors room are decorated with grass carpets and birch wood wallpaper to give guests a feeling of being outdoors, while the Explorers Club room mimics a log cabin dormitory.
The quirky, contemporary interiors at Basecamp will appeal to Millennial travellers. To see more examples of hotels that are catering for affluent young consumers, read LS:N Global’s Millennial Hotels microtrend.
