Barcelona, Spain – Design agency Toormix has developed a branding concept for a range of Catalan wines with a bold, graphic aesthetic that harks back to the early days of the internet.
For the self-initiated project, the designers studied the geography of Catalonia before translating the different kinds of topography into simple graphic symbols. The symbols were then combined to create 3D maps of the terrain and placed on the wine labels.
LS:N explored a similar aesthetic in the Digital Surrealism design direction. To learn more about the cultural movement that inspired this, see our Netstalgia macrotrend.
