Vancouver – A new motorcycle repair shop called Motomethod is teaching people to repair and maintain their own motorcycles, rather than having mechanics service bikes behind closed doors.
The repair shop has an extensive selection of tools for motorcycle riders to use. For a membership fee, people rent a bay at the shop to park their bike.
This is a compelling counter-intuitive service. Giving people the skills to help themselves could be dangerous for shop-owners, but fulfilling for the community. For more on how anarchic business models are proving effective in the Turbulent Teens, read our Anarconomy Decade macrotrend.
