Oslo – Norwegian architects Eriksen + Skajaa have designed an office to be a place of calm, contemplation and creativity.
Commissioned by web consultancy Netlife Research, The Monastery consists of three rooms designed to offer silence and inner peace, and a chance for people to take a break from the stresses of their working day.
The rooms are clad in birch veneer and have monastery-style arched windows, doors and recesses. Some of the alcoves house potted plants while others are large enough to climb inside. There is also a niche containing a bench for relaxing and reading.
