Birmingham – David Franklin, a graduate of Birmingham City University, has created the Delen Memory Table, which explores the relationship between contemporary furniture and technology.
The table features a suspended camera that takes intermittent photos of the surface, recording any food eaten or work done on it. The images are wirelessly uploaded to a computer and automatically shared on social media.
Furniture that incorporates a webcam will appeal to people who like to seamlessly share their lives with others on social media. For more on how people are sharing more of themselves online than ever, read our Personal Information Economy macrotrend.
