Sofia – As part of Sofia Design Week, London-based DesignMarketo presented a selection of specially commissioned products celebrating the lemon.
For the Lemonade For All event, international designers such as Julian Bond and Maria Jeglinska produced specially commissioned objects, all using lemons. The collection then went on sale at a specially curated pop-up shop, which also hosted workshops on a range of topics from lemonade-making to lemon-powered lighting.
‘We regularly organise events involving design and food,’ DesignMarketo designer Jérôme Rigaud tells LS:N Global. ‘We make good use of everyday life ingredients and conviviality. The brief for Sofia Design Week event’s Lemonade For All was inspired by our thirst for a fresh drink celebrating the arrival of summer.’
As reported in LS:N Global’s Conviviality Culture macro trend, smart brands are realising that face-to-face experiences are fundamental to reaching the heart of customers’ convivial lives.
