New York – The Standard hotel has launched a charter airline service from New York to East Hampton.
The StndAIR 8 passenger Cessna aircraft will run throughout the summer, flying to East Hampton on Thursday and Friday afternoons, and returning to New York on Sunday evenings and Monday mornings. The service is designed to offer a ‘luxury experience at an affordable price’. Rosé wine and Swedish fish are served on board, and a Standard flight greeter will be on hand on departure and arrival.
The service is available to the public as well as to guests of the Standard New York and Sunset Beach hotels, who can buy tickets as part of a room and flight package.
In economically uncertain times, it is crucial for hospitality brands to stand out from the crowd. The Standard group has nurtured a successful brand through extraordinary services, and interesting collaborations. LS:N Global recently reported on a venture between Standard and artist KAWS.
