Copenhagen – Danish mobile phone brand Æsir Copenhagen has collaborated with industrial designer Yves Béhar to launch a long-lasting, luxury mobile phone.
Called AE+Y, the simple design in gold or stainless steel is made by a bespoke team of technicians, engineers, craftsmen and material specialists, and costs more than €7,000. ‘The AE+Y champions the idea of craftsmanship in an age that is obsessed with more, and making last year’s products obsolete. Instead, we propose better and long-lasting as our starting criteria,’ explains Béhar.
‘In an age when the industry seems to think that phones aren’t for speaking any more, I wanted to focus on the idea of voice, clarity and simplicity.’
