London – This month the Andaz Hotel at Liverpool Street sets the scene for Danish-born designer Nina Tolsrup’s sensorial installation, a mobile Outdoor Kitchen as part of the ‘Starfest Christmas installation’, curated by London gallerist Libby Sellers.
In a sensory explosion for the mouth and eyes, Tolsrup, the creative force behind colourful East London agency Studiomama, is using a mobile kitchen to serve freshly baked mince pies and homemade mulled wine to hotel guests and visitors.
In addition, she has adorned the entire lounge area with custom-made star decorations assembled from found wooden off-cuts. Guests can take home a template and DIY instructions, as well as recipes from the kitchen, to recreate the food and decorations themselves.
This is a great example of how a brand can engage with consumers, and will certainly go down a treat. For more examples, read our Conviviality Culture report.
