Tokyo – To help visitors understand the craft that goes into Issey Miyake’s 132.5 collection, iPads accompany each piece in the designer’s new shop, demonstrating the process.
Adding to the flexibility of the Super Minimalist space, the clothes are displayed on five transparent torsos that hang from the ceiling.
While admiring the dresses, visitors can also see that the collection comprises 10 geometric pieces of recycled PET polyester, each unfolding to reveal a futuristic, angular dress.
For more on how Miyake designed these pieces using a computer modelling program, read our recent Seed.
