London – Canon’s latest promotion for its Pixma printer brand features an explosion of colour.
Created by communications agency Dentsu London, the project formed ‘sound sculptures’ in a range of bright colours, captured in detail in paint as it reacted to sound waves.
By placing paint on a speaker covered by a balloon to form a thin membrane, and then playing various frequencies of sounds through it, the paint erupted, creating a beautiful scene of droplets of paint against the black background. It was captured by photographer Linden Gledhill using a combination of a Canon 5D Mark II camera and a Canon EF 100mm Macro IS USM lens.
