Ørestad, Denmark – An eco-village is improving the urban environment by creating an individual neighbourhood.
Designed by architect firm Bjarke Ingels Group, the 8 Tallet development is localising services for its residences in its 476 apartments.
Some of the development’s features include gardens designed to reduce the urban heat island effect, while an east-west orientation provides plenty of daylight. 8 Tallet also has a green roof, a commercial square and communal areas.
