London – A new skincare range combines the Russian traditions of cryotherapy and herbalism to rejuvenate the skin.
At the heart of Jalue’s skincare range is the re-usable ice cone, which users fill with water that has been suffused with a herbal sachet containing a combination of five skin-enhancing herbs: chamomile, sage, nettle, rose and oak bark.
The iced herb infusion within the ergonomically designed cone is applied directly to the skin in a sweeping, circular motion to revive puffy skin and tighten pores on the consumer’s face, neck and décolletage.
Cryotherapy also has anti-ageing properties, as the application of ice to the skin prompts the body to tighten pores and stimulates collagen production. Ingredients such as sage, which contains high levels of antioxidants, also contribute to slowing down the ageing process by offering protection against wrinkle-inducing free radicals.
Consumers are increasingly just as interested in the ingredients that they apply topically as they are by those they consume, and are looking for restorative properties in each ingredient. For more, see our Highly Sensitive microtrend
