New York – Renowned make-up artist Pat McGrath has released Gold 001, part of her forthcoming experimental beauty line.

Given that McGrath is responsible for countless beauty trends over the past decade, it comes as no surprise that Gold 001, the first product from her forthcoming range, sold out within one month. 

Versatility was key for McGrath, who wanted to create a powder that could be manipulated easily. ‘For me, this pigment has no limits,’ she told Refinery29. ‘You can use it in so many different ways – mix it with the mixing medium, water, or eye primer, place it on your eyes, lips, cheeks.’ 

The rich, microfine metallic pigment also comes with a spatula, second-life container and liquid activator.
