Walk The Line

25 : 08 : 2015 The Line : Art Walk : Contemporary Art

London – The Line is London’s first dedicated modern and contemporary art walk, shedding light on some of the city’s best kept secrets.

  • The Line is as much an exploration of London as it is of art, perhaps more so
  • The route travels through ‘black holes’ in people’s mental maps of London

Tracing their steps along the Greenwich Meridian, visitors start among the bustle of the Greenwich Peninsula, winding their way north through The Royal Docks and the thriving creative community of Cody Dock before ending at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford.

Scattered along the route are 14 works of modern and contemporary art, curated by a selected panel of artists, critics and collectors, including major pieces from Gary Hume, Eduardo Paolozzi and Damien Hirst.

‘We believe everyone will enjoy the experience – local residents, Londoners, tourists, lovers, families, bird-watchers, cyclists, dog-walkers, art-followers, ramblers and anyone else who enjoys an adventure,’ says The Line co-founder Megan Piper.
