Luxury consumers are tired of chasing the four fashion calendar collections and designers are taking a stand against relentless seasonal cycles. Studio Toogood promotes a slower cycle of production, while Kit and Ace is creating covetable, fuss-free collections of core pieces that can be layered throughout the year.

‘For so long, the industry has been telling people: this is the trend, you must get it first, otherwise it will all be sold out and you will have missed it,’ retail consultant Susan Millin tells LS:N Global. ‘There’s a growing feeling that this model is no longer sustainable.’
