Russia – Creative agency Proximity Russia has found a way to make banner ads more useful with a little help from Post-it.
- Adverts can be used as digital sticky notes for chores and to-do lists
- Uses cookies and scripts that trawl a user’s online behaviour and search entries
Web users can leave Post-it notes for themselves on one of Proximity’s digital sticky notes. As they navigate to a different site, they will find their reminders saved, a clever piece of technology enabled by applying cookies and scripts in the same way as a conventional banner ad. At present, this is only available for Russian websites, but Proximity hopes the campaign’s success will lead to it being used on sites around the world.
