Ren Ri has captured the elegance of the natural world in his Yuansu Projects. The artist has gently manipulated living systems to form a creative installation featuring unique, organic and visually stimulating pieces. Ri has developed a relationship with the creators, the bees, embracing a deeper engagement with a greater living system to produce his hypnotic works. The bees are not just the creators, they are the medium, a perfect synergy of organic creativity.

The Big Picture: In our Whole-system Thinking macrotrend we explore the combination of human innovation and nature. Here we see the ability to manipulate and create holistic functioning eco-systems and the limitless possibilities this provides for technology and sustainable design.
