San Francisco – Sonos’ wireless speaker has been dominating the market for the past 10 years. Beep, a start-up founded by former Google employees Daniel Conrad and Shawn Lewis, aims to differentiate itself through its intuitive interface and beautiful design.
Beep is a speaker adapter that connects to any normal stereo speaker and enables users to stream music from their iOS or Android device. It can be streamed to different stereos in the house simultaneously to create a wall of sound. Beep is notable for its ease of use. A simple dial is used to adjust the volume and to turn on the streaming. Users just have to tap the device and it begins playing from the last place it stopped.
Unlike its competitors, Beep is designed to look less like a piece of technology and more like a decoration. With its copper or gun-metal sheen and streamlined design, Beep follows the Fem Tech design direction, looking as beautiful on a counter as any fancy knick-knack.
