Choc stop: Traditional chocolate shop gets experiential

10.01.2010 Artisanal : Chocolate : HHF Architects

Basel – A heritage-heavy coffeehouse and chocolaterie has received an experiential makeover. The renovation of well-loved local chocolate maker Confiserie Bachmann by HHF Architects sees reflection and colour used to bring a sense of lightness and space to the small shop. Here, shades of bright white are balanced by chocolate-coloured furniture.

As sales of premium chocolates and sweets have remained impressive throughout the recession, consumers are increasingly buying into more artisanal products and enjoying new chocolate shops and cafés that reflect this experience.
