Herzogenaurach, Germany – Berlin-based architecture practice, KadaWittfeldArchitektur has designed a new headquarters for sports brand Adidas called Laces.
The structure is ring-shaped so workers can look out into the countryside. Walkways extend across a central atrium, connecting the offices.
‘The ring structure gave the building qualities of country and town, and the atrium feels very urban,’ says project coordinator Dirk Zweering. ‘The zig-zagged structure of bridges looked a bit like shoe laces, which gave the building an abstract connection to Adidas.’
