Boxing clever: Design studio has a light touch
Barcelona – Interdisciplinary lighting and design company Watts Up has created a light called the Lámpara Cadac that uses its own packaging as a lampshade.
The cord works as a handle, and the lamp unfolds from a box and can be suspended from the ceiling.
This is a well-executed example of taking a disposable material and giving it a permanent life. The idea will be explored in more detail in a forthcoming feature in our Trends section.
