Menswear manifestations

14 : 09 : 2015 Hermés : Le Manifeste : Menswear

Paris – Hermès has launched Le Manifeste d’Hermès, a dedicated menswear platform guiding visitors on a whimsical journey through fashion.

  • Celebrates creativity in style with a series of playful and poetic animations
  • Inspired by philosopher Roland Barthes and the joy of classification

As with its recent Wanderland exhibition, Hermès is evoking the spirit of the Flaneur Society with its new site, which takes a creative approach to list-making in a series of highly stylised animations.

Three Ways to be the King of the Castle shows how to build sandcastles worthy of an architect, while Five Steps into the Swipe encourages gentlemen to channel their inner Fred Astaire.

This approach, according to Véronique Nichanian, artistic director of Hermès menswear, is designed to ‘arouse curiosity and, in the form of amusing lists, reveal creativity with humour and lightness’.
