Stuttgart, Germany – Designer and art director Sarah Le Donne has launched the Bus Journal, a publication that aims to inspire people to discover their city on local transport.
In the Bus Journal, contributors are asked to travel around a specific city on the public bus network and record their observations. The first issue focuses on Istanbul and contains a selection of written diary entries and photographs taken in the Turkish city.
‘I really hope the Bus Journal will inspire people to take the bus more often,’ Le Donne tells LS:N Global. ‘Travelling by bus is a great way of getting to know a local area or foreign city better. I think the bus and other forms of public transport will become indispensable as cities continue to grow at such a fast rate.’
The Big Picture: The Bus Journal aims to connect readers with everyday cities, and the creatives living there. Read our Innovate on Everlane’s Transparent City to see how the retailer is providing consumers with hyper-local experiences.
