Renens, Switzerland – École Cantonale d’Art de Lausanne (ECAL) graduate Sébastian Cluzel and eyewear brand Julbo have created 4807 Glacier Glasses, a line of eyewear that references the polar expeditions of the past.
The glasses are designed for use in the city, and to be fit for mountaineering. Created with durability in mind, the glasses comprise a spring steel frame which forms memory, provides flexibility and gives protection in the event of a fall.
This is a great example of an Adventurist design, in which people increasingly want to be reminded of the spirit of exploration in their clothes, accessories, interior products and other items. For the key methods on how to incorporate this into your brand’s design cues, read our Adventurism Toolkit.
