Singapore – Fashion brand Crocodile has opened a concept boutique in Singapore designed to be reconfigured easily.
Brands are creating clever retail concepts that can be adapted and updated easily in response to tighter consumer spending, as we reported in our Flexthetics Inspire.
Created by design duo Dennis Cheok and Joyce van Saane, the store is a transformable shell containing a series of rotating panels that display the products on sale and reveal mirrors when turned. A steel frame in the centre is designed to hold key pieces in the collection that can easily be removed and replaced for each new season.
With its timber panels, metal frames and grey aesthetic, the store looks like a gym or climbing centre, adding to its sense of practicality and adaptability.
