Switzerland – Artist Roberto de Luca and designer Antonio Scarponi have created a portable office and hotel room for Swiss designers Daskonzept.
In a world of increasing unpredictability and busy lifestyles, brands are creating nomadic vendors, pop-up structures that offer temporary spaces, as we reported in our Survivability micro inspire.
The Hotello is a four-square-metre unit that offers a space to sleep and work. It includes a metal frame, a bed, an office area and translucent and absorbent curtains, all of which can be folded away into a case on wheels, enabling users to take it wherever they go. It can be reconfigured in different ways, enabling users to tailor it to their specific needs.
The piece will be on show at Milan Design Week from 9 to 14 April 2013.
