International – Nature conservation organisation WWF has created an interactive app that brings users closer to elephants, whales, rhinos and other species from the comfort of their iPad screens.
The WWF Together app enables users to discover more about the lives of animals by experiencing their daily and night routines. Users can break bamboo like a panda, stay as still as a polar bear on a hunt, and see through the eyes of a tiger using the app’s Tiger Vision tool.
Stories of new species are regularly added, along with high-resolution images of the animals. Users can access facts about each creature and their habits by sliding their finger across different elements of the screen.
In future, apps and other platforms will need to be increasingly interactive and visually appealing to attract users. For more, read our Transmedia Futures Toolkit.
