Serbia – Design incubator Nova Iskra has opened a new multi-functional co-working space for freelancers and creatives in Belgrade.
Nova Iskra – which translates as ‘new spark’ – is the first design incubator in the country and is designed to offer creatives in fields such as design, architecture, interior design and visual communications, an alternative to working in isolation at home. It hopes to ‘create realistic and sustainable connections between designers and manufacturers’ that will result in products that are competitive both in the domestic and the global market.
The modern industrial space, designed by local architects firm Petokraka, provides 18 workstations for designers, a photo booth, design library, conference room and kitchen.
Nova Iskra is a great example of the new web of interdependency that is emerging in business. For more on how to work more openly and collaboratively, read our Symbiotic Branding Toolkit.
