Singapore – At Singapore’s PACT retail space, a hair salon, restaurant and clothing store together offer a symbiotic shopping experience.
The space has the open-plan layout of an urban residential loft space, and a similarly raw aesthetic with concrete and exposed pipes. Just as a kitchen, living room and dining area often merge together in a loft, the three brands at PACT blend into the overall space, encouraging customers to linger and enjoy themselves.
KIN, or Know It Nothing, stocks clothes and accessories from around the world, with an emphasis on the stories behind each item. KILO, a restaurant and bar, offers Japanese-Vietnamese cuisine, while the LIM salon is the latest Singapore branch of a Japanese chain. The entire PACT space is designed by Teruhiro Yanagihara’s Isolation Unit studio.
With three relatively small brands collaborating to establish a stronger collective identity, PACT is a great local interpretation of Symbiotic Branding.
