Eindhoven – Dutch Design Academy graduate Jody Kocken presented the Perfume Tools jewellery collection during Dutch Design Week. The range enables those who are allergic to perfume to wear scents without coming into contact with them.
‘All the tools can be attached to the opening of a perfume bottle,’ says Kocken. ‘The tools absorb the scent and work as fragrance diffusers that can be worn. In places where the skin is most vulnerable, the precious metal is warmed up so that the scent can travel. Any skin contact with the perfumed liquid is thus avoided.’
This is a beautifully executed and pragmatic way of working around perfume allergies. For more insight and inspiration in the beauty industry, read our Beauty Futures report.
