Eindhoven – Relaxation can be difficult in cities, so Studio Harm Rensink has created an antidote to stress with the Urban Pop-Up-Spa.
Now on view in the Schellens factory at Dutch Design Week, the lightweight spa can be easily assembled on rooftops or in loft spaces. Translucent material creates an enclosed, tent-like pod. The studio has also created amenities for the spa, such as felt soaps and towels, all with a minimalist look and feel.
Bombarded with digital distractions, consumers are drawn towards spaces that offer moments for quiet contemplation, as we described in our New Sublimity macrotrend. Visit our Shows section for our forthcoming review of Dutch Design Week.
