Paris – Filmmakers Carl Burgess and Thomas Traum have created a promotional video called Marble Punch for fashion brand Kenzo’s autumn/winter 2012 womenswear collection that references the visual culture of the internet.
A tracking shot follows a model strutting in time to percussive electronic music behind a surreal digital landscape. The film closes with a model walking towards the camera, and smashing her digital surroundings into fragments.
This is a superb way for a brand to tap into the current nostalgia for the early days of the web, and to create a scene in line with LS:N Global’s Digital Surrealism design direction.
