Italy – Milan-based architecture studio AtelierFORTE has built a private sauna called Huginn and Muninn in the Italian countryside that offers visitors an escape from always-on culture.
The sauna is on a hill with panoramic views of the valleys below, although it is designed with just one small window so users can enjoy an enclosed environment.
‘The sauna is positioned so that people can enter an intimate environment that nurtures conversation and interaction,’ says Duilio Forte, founder of the studio.
This design is a fine example of The New Sublimity trend as people increasingly seek a sense of meaning and reflection in an always-on world.
