Waxing lyrical: Scents of the city from Oak
New York – Clothing brand Oak has created a line of candles that recreate the scents of specific times and places in New York history.

Each of the four candles in the range is named after an intersection: Christopher + West 76, St Marks + First 85, Prince + Mercer 97, and McKibben + Bogart 03. St Marks + First 85 is inspired by ‘metallic, trash and vaudeville, incense, sweat, concrete, booze and vintage clothing stores’, and contains notes such as peach, aromatic incense, suede leather and pear liquor.
