New York – For the relaunch of Tara Subkoff’s Imitation of Christ label, the designer chose to present the spring/summer 2012 collection at New York fashion week as a wedding ceremony. The lucky bride – model and actress Lydia Hearst – wore hand-made vintage-style flapper dresses, while her model guests were also dressed in Imitation of Christ.
Explaining that not everything during fashion week has to be about commerce, Subkoff justified her decision for a theatrical, live spectacle as an attempt to inspire with art.
