Minneapolis – A new scheme enables cyclists to repair their bikes at a self-service kiosk.
The first Bike Fixtation recently opened at the city’s Uptown Transit Station. The kiosk is equipped with parts such as inner tubes, bike tools and patch kits, and cyclists can use a repair stand next to the station to work on their bikes while on the go. Another kiosk is due to open this summer.
‘We want to add to a growing bicycle infrastructure,’ says Alex Anderson, co-founder of Bike Fixtation.
As cycling culture becomes increasingly mainstream, brands are finding new ways to appeal to a growing consumer group. One brand doing this particularly well is Rapha. For more information, see LS:N Global’s Innovate feature.
