Paris – Students from Ecole Cantonale d’Art de Lausanne (ECAL’s) new MAS Luxury and Design course will present a series of designs, produced in collaboration with silverware manufacturer Christofle, as part of a new exhibition at the brand’s 9 rue Royale store.
The Raconte-Moi Une Histoire exhibition will form part of the annual international design show Designer’s Days. ECAL students were asked to create luxury interpretations of childhood objects. Although not necessarily aimed at children, the objects were designed to connect with childhood memories and experiences.
The 14 designs presented include a silver-handled skipping rope, a rattle and a kaleidoscope.
LS:N Global recently reported on a collaboration between ECAL and Italian manufacturer Alessi, presented as part of the Milan Design Fair.
