Amsterdam – Dutch designers Ellis Droog and Romy van den Broek have created a swimwear brand called Lemonbow that uses digital techniques to make bathing costumes.
The costumes are formed from single pieces of material using techniques such as 3D printing and laser cutting.
A computer-controlled laser enables Lemonbow to produce perfectly fitting swimwear. Points on the customer’s body are converted into the correct measurements, which are then sent to the laser cutter.
Such innovative use of technology is a great way for brands to bring tailored items to a wider audience.
