Feel the Pinch: A fresh approach to catering

13 : 05 : 2011 Food Furniture : Food Pairing : New York

New York – A catering and design company is re-imagining the way in which food is prepared and presented at events.

Pinch Food Design has created a set of ‘food furniture’ to complement its unique approach to food service. Each of the pieces has been designed to be aesthetically and functionally pleasing.

The white ceramic Pinch Bowl rests on top of a wine glass, enabling users to eat with a fork while keeping hold of their beverage. The Pinch Fork is a two-pronged utensil, ideal for serving layers of food while maintaining the integrity of the constituent ingredients.

For more examples of innovation in food design and preparation, look out for our forthcoming Food and Beverages Futures report, which will be available from The Future Laboratory’s online shop.
