Japan – With professional men nervously working through the economic downturn the world over, now is the time to smarten up, get suited and dress as though you mean business. As seen at the recent Pitti Uomo show in Florence, men will be suited and booted this year to ride out the recession, but this trend isn’t exclusive to luxury labels.
High street brand Uniqlo is releasing a super-cheap tailoring range for its forthcoming spring line of clothes. Traditional but affordable styles, such as slim-cut, two buttoned jackets will be available alongside matching waistcoats, striped shirts and polka-dot ties. In addition, a new branded concession in Selfridges is to open this year.
