Paris – In 2004, the Italian company Guzzini launched Foodesign Guzzini, in which it invited selected designers from a particular country to create new products showing the evolution of food behaviour.
At this year’s Maison et Objet Guzzini unveiled its first French Foodesign Guzzini collection.
Thirty French architects and designers were commissioned to participate. Arik Levy created The Melting Pot, in which he examined the concept of sharing and conviviality. Matali Crasset produced Spoon Bottle, which marries design and convenience. Designer Christian Ghion presented an ultra-minimal ceremonial collection called Holly Ghost.
LS:N Global’s Emma Chiu is attending the Maison & Objet exhibition in Paris and will be reporting on the show throughout the week.
