Instant stardom: Pop Mie seeks winning face

Jakarta – Consumers are being given a chance to take part in a tv commercial for the relaunch of Indonesian food brand Indofood’s Pop Mie instant noodles.

The Pop Up Your Life campaign by advertising agency JWT Indonesia, invites consumers to visit its website and take part in an augmented reality game and to upload photos. Five people will be chosen to be aired on national tv with their ‘winning faces’.

‘The campaign is a first for Indonesia in exploring this type of interaction with ‘new media’, and we are proud to be pioneering it in the market,’ says Ivan Hady Wibowo, executive creative director at JWT Indonesia. ‘The campaign reflects the lifestyle of Pop Mie’s 20something audience, by speaking directly to them.’
