The Love Machine: Luxury vending’s new slot

London – Luxury goods consumers can find a high-end fashion fix in an instant in one of London’s most fashionable hotel lobbies following the installation of The Love Machine by Selfridges.

In a collaboration for London Fashion Week between Condé Nast’s Love magazine, its editor-in-chief Katie Grand, and Morgans Hotel Group, the 32-slot luxury vending machine was installed in the Saint Martins Lane hotel in Covent Garden.

The Love Machine sells accessories, beauty products, menswear, womenswear, food and homeware from Selfridges’ London flagship store. A touchscreen will give Morgans Hotel Group’s guests and visitors a chance to buy items such as an Alexander Wang leather and sequin dress, a Vivienne Westwood Anglomania Drape dress, and a vintage Rolex watch.

As with Teknovation’s work for the Mondrian hotel in Miami luxury vending machines are an innovative way of selling products in new environments and invite exclusivity through limited-edition collaborations.
